Product Applications :

1. Used as medicine and dye intermediates. The pesticide miticide produced from o-chlorobenzaldehyde controls mites on dryland crops and fruit trees. O-chlorobenzoxime is obtained by oxime formation from o-chlorobenzaldehyde, and further chlorination yields o-chlorobenzoxime-both serving as medicine intermediates.
2. Employed as a solvent and also as a dewaxing agent for lubricating oils.
3. Used in flavourings. Primarily employed in the formulation of rum, cheese, and fruit-based flavourings.
