Product Description

Urea formaldehyde resin is a non-transparent, cross-linked thermoset resin or plastic obtained by chemical combination of urea and formaldehyde.
Urea formaldehyde (UF) is a cost-effective thermosetting resin that is widely used in the wood product industry. In the
laboratory,urea formaldehyde resins are prepared by using urea with formaldehyde in an alkaline or neutral medium to produce dimethylol urea, which then undergoes polycondensation, a chemical process that produce a polymer,when heated in an acidic medium.

Application

It can be used for products with low water resistance and dielectric properties, such as plug board, switch, machine handle, instrument housing, knob, daily necessities, decorations, mahjong cards, toilet lid, and can also be used in the manufacture of some tableware.
Urea-formaldehyde resin is the most used type of adhesive. Especially in the manufacture of various wood-based panels
in the wood processing industry, urea-formaldehyde resin and its modified products account for about 90% of the total amount of adhesives.
