Product Description：

It is colorless, odorless, sweet and sticky liquid, is the simplest of diglycol. Can be intersoluble with water , slightly soluble in ether, and insoluble in petroleum hydrocarbon and oil.

Ethylene glycol, also known as 1,2-ethylene glycol or ethylenediol, is the simplest aliphatic diol with the chemical formula C2H6O2 and a molecular weight of 62.07. Under normal conditions, it is a colorless, transparent, viscous liquid with a sweet taste and hygroscopic properties.

Product Applications :

1. It is mainly used in the manufacture of polyester, polyester resin, hygroscopic agents, plasticizers, surfactants, synthetic fibers, cosmetics, and explosives.

2. It is also used as a solvent in dyes and inks, in the formulation of antifreeze for engines, a gas dehydrating agent, in the manufacture of resins, and as a wetting agent in cellophane, fibers, leather, and adhesives.

3. It can produce synthetic resin PET, fiber-grade PET (polyester fiber), and bottle-grade PET for making mineral water bottles, etc. It can also produce alkyd resins, glyoxal, etc., which are also used as antifreeze.
